Under a multi-year Standing Supply Agreement, RMD is a trusted manufacturing partner for Saskatchewan Power Corporation, fabricating utility-grade components to maintain the province's critical power transmission and distribution infrastructure.
We execute high-volume fabrication and rigorous testing of critical hardware entirely in-house at our Saskatoon facilities—including heavy-duty 100A/200A Farm Power Centres, custom distribution cabinets, and 600V assemblies. Controlling the complete manufacturing lifecycle enables us to bypass external supply chain delays, verify strict CSA standards, and deliver thousands of reliable, field-ready electrical units annually to support our local grid.

EARL (Equine Assistive Rehabilitation Lift)
Now Run by OHMTechResearchers originally partnered with RMD Engineering to design and build a one-of-a-kind robotic lift system for horses. The asset and ongoing system development have since been spun out to One Health Medical Technologies (OHMTech).
The lift assists in rehabilitating horses suffering from acute injuries and other complex musculoskeletal problems by providing precise automated mobility, weight distribution, and full structural support.

Advanced tactical wildland asset management. RMD Engineering partnered directly with GelTech Solutions to engineer the Next-Gen FireIce Mobile Automated Base system (F-MAB)—the cleanest, most precise automated tanker loading infrastructure designed for high-stakes fire boundaries.
RMD's engineering team directly co-developed the automated, closed-loop mixing platform optimized for rapid field deployment. The setup handles on-demand chemical gel blending without requiring wet batch bulk storage arrays, allowing field teams to dynamically alter compound viscosity depending on fuel profiles or immediate orders from active Air Attack personnel.

A cost-effective, state-of-the-art ionosonde integrating phase coding, solid-state electronics, and FPGA tech into a highly portable system. CADI uses high-power vertical radio frequency pulses to measure echo delay, phase, amplitude, arrival angle, and polarization for flexible atmospheric and polar cap research.

The Wireless E-Stop System
Industrial safety infrastructure designed, engineered, and manufactured directly by RMD Engineering Inc. The Wireless E-Stop provides an instant critical safety fallback when a worker becomes trapped or caught in machinery and cannot physically reach static wall-mounted kill switches.
The system relies on lightweight, worker-worn wireless remote modules operating on license-free bands to deliver 400-meter range coverage. If a worker is pulled into an asset, activating the wearable transmitter drops power to the machine instantly.
