Where purpose meets precision.
At RMD, you learn by doing. You might spend part of your day in the shop, at a machine, in the engineering office, or working through a problem with someone from another part of the company. We expect people to take ownership of their work, ask questions, and keep learning.
RMD is a multidisciplinary shop. Engineers, machinists, welders, electricians, programmers, fabricators and project leads work alongside each other to get projects built. You don't have to know everything when you start. You do need to be willing to learn from the people around you.
What you’ll find here:
-
Learn By Doing
Work alongside experienced people and build skills through real projects, equipment and problems.
-
Work Across Disciplines
Engineering, machining, fabrication, automation and assembly happen under the same roof.
-
Own Your Work
Take responsibility for your work, speak up when something needs attention, and see projects through to the finished product.
Continuous learning is built into the rhythm of every day at RMD. You won't know everything on your first day, and that's expected. What matters is that you're willing to ask questions, learn from experienced people and take on something new when the opportunity comes up. As you gain experience, your responsibilities can change with you. We encourage people to talk openly about what they want to learn and where they want to go next, then look for opportunities to make that happen.
We also recognize that growth is deeply personal, and we are dedicated to helping you define what success looks like for you. We keep our paths flexible because we know that your career goals may evolve as you master new facets of our technology. We encourage open dialogue about where you want to go, and we align your responsibilities with the growth you want to achieve. When you push yourself to grow, the entire organization benefits; and we are committed to making sure that impact is recognized and rewarded.
The work changes from project to project. One week you might be machining a component for an industrial customer; the next, you could be helping build automation, research equipment or a custom machine. If you like figuring out how things work and then building the solution, there's a lot to learn here.

Stories from our shop floor
Bryce Roadhouse
Co-Owner of RMD Innovations
"If less people are doing it, then I think that excites this group of individuals more, that if you tell them they can't do something, or something is difficult, we'll try to find a way to do that, and prove everybody wrong."
