History

Our owners, Jim and Sheila Boire are both mechanical engineers that started the business in 2003 and it has grown into a 60,000 square foot office and fabrication facility with a staff of more than 50 highly skilled engineers, project managers, draftsmen, welders, machinists, mechanics and electricians.

We work in partnership with our customers and clients to safely optimize project, process and facility performance. Since our inception, RMD has taken on an increasingly complex and challenging array of projects and we continue to “punch above our weight” as it relates to meeting our customers’ needs. Most recently, after an International competition, we were awarded the contract to fabricate and install an Elliptically Polarizing Undulator at the Canadian Light Source synchrotron at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.

Customer Feedback

"I just wanted to let you know that the Turnover Package for this Raffinite Tank is awesome! The resulting product is pretty much perfect. I've heard several complimentary comments on the welding and overall quality of the tank. Thanks for the work and all the cooperation!"
